About Us
FoMSF is an official student support organization for MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and we operate independently of MSF. MSF is an international medical humanitarian non-profit organization that provides free healthcare in conflict zones and in countries affected by endemic diseases or natural disasters. The Purpose(s) of FoMSF UBC is to: 1. To foster knowledge and understanding of the overall goals, values, projects, structure, and occupation profiles of M├®decins Sans Fronti├¿res. 2. To raise public and campus awareness of current MSF campaigns and projects, from emergency medical aid to crisis responses to advocacy and research programs. 3. Fundraise and collect donations to contribute to MSFÔÇÖs programs and administration. 4. Engage students from all backgrounds and fields of study and emphasize the wide range of MSF profiles and field workers that encompass the overall organization. 5. Increase perceptivity for global health issues, humanitarian crises, and rights to medical aid in the interests of MSF.
