About Us

Vancouver Hanfu Culture Society is a non-profit organization founded in 2010. Our club focuses on introducing Chinese culture and traditional clothing, Hanfu. We provide opportunities for people with interest to interact through our social and cultural events. Hanfu is known as the traditional costume of the Han ethnicity, and is a unique style of clothing worn by the Han people and their ancestors. Historical records suggest that the emergence of Hanfu could date back nearly five thousand years to the dawn of the Chinese civilization, and throughout the millennia, Hanfu gradually evolved from a simple clothing to an Inseparable part of Chinese tradition and etiquette.
