About Us
The mission of UBC Myanmar Club is to create a tight-knit network for Myanmar students and people interested in having connections with Myanmar cultures on UBC Campus. We would like to foster a community for Myanmar students to connect with each other through cultural events that will be held by the club. However, the club is also open to anyone that is interested in Myanmar culture and learning about the traditions of the country. Furthermore, UBC Myanmar Club aims to support current and incoming Myanmar students by providing guidance for academic and social resources. Forming this club would provide a place of comfort for students away from home, help with adapting to university life in Canada, and making new bonds with people from similar backgrounds, and like-minded people who share similar interests.
