About Us
Right to Play UBC is an AMS club which, since 2011, has been operating in line with the principles and values of RTP International. We organize fundraisers and build awareness to support them in their mission of protecting, educating, and empowering children through the power of play. We run several events throughout the year, including the RTP USC Spin-a-ThonÔÇöa collaborative fundraiser with UBC Rec supporting Right to PlayÔÇÖs PLAY (Promoting Life Skills in Aboriginal Youth) program. We are also passionate about holding a meaningful presence in the Vancouver community. Each week, we send a team of UBC students to organize and run after school play programs for inner-city children, through partnerships with recognized at-risk elementary schools in the Vancouver School Board. We believe in the power of play to teach life skills, promote healthy habits, and build strong communities.
