UBC Taoist Practitioner Club is here to share the unique Taoist worldview and Taoist practice culture. The key spirit of Taoist practice culture is self transformation & transcendence. Our mission is to introduce the 5000-year Taoist philosophical, spiritual and transcendental wisdom to help you discover your true potential. We also aim to establish Taoist Practitioner League with other universities from a wider world. By participating in our regular events, you could have direct experience of Taoist practice.

Our membership fee is $5 per year.

Members enjoy free entry or discounted entry to our public events. Members are also granted entry to our inside events.

Free Entry to Taoist Salon

Taoist Salon is our social/ experiential/ cultural event. You’ll be able to explore and experience various mystical themes, Qi, fate, telepathy, ghost and so on. It is also a great chance to meet interesting and special people like you.

Inside Practice Circle

Members only. You’ll learn Taoist practice such as Inner Alchemy and Rites, which improves your bodily and mental power, and enables you to develop special skills.

Core Beliefs

Taoism as a transcendental practice has two core believes:

Return to One

The body-mind-spirit is a little universe. The Inner Universe is connected to the Outer Universe. We should return to one, and eliminate the estrangement between nature and human.

Infinite Potentials

Everyone’s fate is not destined by external forces, but by themselves. Everyone has in then already the complete potentiality to be anything. Taoist practice is to learn how to actualize the infinite potentials.
