The UBC Tax Assistance Clinic for Students (TACS) is a non-profit student-run initiative whose goal is to educate and assist students and low-income individuals in filing their Canadian tax returns through our tax clinic that operates from late February to the end of March of each year. The TACS Experience allows volunteers to learn and apply their knowledge about the Canadian Tax System while giving back to the community.
Through our workshops and clinic, we educate and serve students and low-income individuals in filing their Canadian income tax returns. In addition to hiring over 150 student volunteers and supplying them with the skill-set and knowledge needed to help the community, we also host various networking events. Through these, our volunteers are granted the opportunity to meet with tax industry professionals and realize their potential in pursuing a successful career in tax.
