About Us
Established in 2011, UBC Trading Group is a diverse community of students linked by their mutual interest in impacting the future of capital markets and tap into the capital markets beyond the limits of the classroom. Across a plethora of opportunities including events, workshops and educational news content, the trading group enables students from any level of capital markets knowledge to become immersed in the topic, and find a community to call home. In recent years, UBCTG does not only entail elements of capital markets, but has also made a decisive shift to include aspects of quantitative finance providing an increased practical skill development; launching hands on workshops in Visual Basic, Python and Data Science.
