Mission
Agora Caf├® is a student volunteer-run, non-for-profit caf├® at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver campus. Our goal is to provide affordable, accessible, healthy, local and organic food choices to students and faculty members while training volunteers in foodservice and business management. This is done to promote the values of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems and to aid in UBCÔÇÖs movement towards sustainability.

Engineers Without Borders UBC is a vast interdisciplinary team (including non-engineers) that works on a myriad of initiatives outside the typical hyper-technical work that engineering students normally pursue. We focus on generating long-lasting meaningful impact in the projects that we take on and work rigorously to promote the personal development of our members. We work on fostering community and building strong leaders.

EWB UBC has branches working on education with VancouverÔÇÖs youth, advocacy with local MPs, sustainability initiatives and wellness. We are passionate about discussing problems that we encounter as a community and take it one step further by formulating solutions and putting them into action.

We work on both local and global projects, ranging from fundraising to technology implementation in Sub-Saharan Africa. There is a tremendous amount of room to spearhead your initiatives and contribute to others. YouÔÇÖll have an opportunity to have some incredible conversations with insightful individuals and be a part of an engaged and inclusive community.

Mission
Nutrikids is a UBC student initiative that provides nutrition education workshops to elementary schools across the Lower Mainland. Student volunteers work in ÔÇ£podsÔÇØ to plan and deliver interactive workshops. Each workshop, the student volunteers visit the classroom, bringing stories, songs, games, and a variety of foods.

Our fundamental belief is that giving kids the opportunity to touch, feel, smell, taste, and experience a variety of whole foods, is key to cultivating a lasting relationship with healthy eating.
Our focus is to teach fundamental nutrition concepts and decision-making skills that will help children establish healthy dietary habits and maintain a positive relationship with food, for life!
