We have 5 general groups!

Our groups have performed for local charities, hospitals, and even at the President of UBC's home! As non-competitive groups, their work culminates in our two term end concerts.

The Undeclared Majors

UBC A Cappella's oldest A Cappella group, The Undeclared Majors can be distinguished by their show stopping song choices, performances around campus, and green accents!

Musical Directors: Rachel Groening & Chris Banganyan

Group Size: 18-20 Members

Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 - 8:00pm.

The Unaccompanied Minors

The second group to form in UBC A Cappella, The Unaccompanied Minors are known for their experimental arrangements across an array of genres, tight vocal cohesion as a result of their ride-or-die bond, and red accents!

Musical Directors: Jaya Hong & Kenneth Xing

Group Size: 18-20 Members

Rehearsals: Thursdays at 7:00 - 9:00pm.

Fermata UBC

Fermata UBC can be distinguished by their purple accents, and is a group for all women. Fermata welcomes any who identify themselves as women in any way that is important to them. This includes but is not limited to cis-women, trans women, and nonbinary folks who align with these experiences.

Musical Directors: Giuliana Kim & Josephine Kania Valyne

Group Size: 18-20 Members

Rehearsals: Mondays at 7:30 - 10:00pm.

Choral Reef

UBC A Cappella's largest auditioned group is Choral Reef. Known for their playful choreography and full sound, you can distinguish them by their blue accents!

Musical Directors: Lydia Li, Rio Weil

Group Size: 30-40 Members

Rehearsals: Wednesdays at 6:30 - 9:00 pm.

Fast & Forte

The largest group in UBC A Cappella, Fast & Forte is an unauditioned group more flexible in time commitment. Known for their gold accents and tight knit bonds, this group is family embodied!

Musical Directors: Josh Dar Santos & Justine Rigollet

Group Size: 50+ Members

Rehearsals: Thursdays at 5:30 - 7:30pm.
