Mandatory Byelection Meeting

This monday we will be having a mandatory meeting to elect our new Director of PR and Social Media Chair. The duties for each position have been listed below for everyone's convenience. All nominations will be taken from the floor at the meeting. 

If you cannot attend the meeting please fill out the absence form using the link below!

 

Director of PR:

*must be able to attend Board Meetings which occur every Monday from 5-6 pm in person

a. Serve as Chairperson of the Promo Committee;
b. Understand and abide by the PADS privacy/promotional guidelines;
c. Oversee all the club’s social media accounts and pages in accordance with the club’s brand standards;
d. Coordinate all club-related promotional materials, including digital and print;
e. Work closely with the Events Committee to support campaigns;
f. Actively promote membership and participation activities within the club;
g. Oversee photography and videography at all club events; and
h. Work closely with the Membership Committee to coordinate club day promotions and promotional materials for the recruitment of new members.

 

Social Media Chair:

a. Understand and abide by the PADS privacy/promotional guidelines;
b. Actively manage all the club’s social media accounts and pages in accordance with the club’s brand
standards, including:
a. Reposting all tagged Instagram stories that include the club’s puppies-in-training or members in a timely manner, within reason;
b. Engaging with followers by liking and responding to comments;
c. Maintain the overall appearance of the social media pages; and
c. Assist with the posting of original, digital promotional materials on the club’s social media accounts, as directed by the Director of Public Relations.

Puppy Wonderland this Friday!

We will be selling tickets in person at our club meeting on Monday, Nov 28 and at a booth in the nest on Wednesday, Nov 30, from 12pm-3pm.

Lots of puppies will be there, including a working service dog demonstration as well as free food included with your ticket, and a cash/ticket bar!

- 2-night stay on Vancouver island with gourmet breakfast & local gift cards

Puppy Handling Session

There will be a puppy handling session this Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 pm in Swng 409. This session is mandatory for handlers going to the December 1st puppy engagement event and is strongly encouraged for all sitters (and raisers). Please sign up using the link below.

Grab your best semi-formal, winter-themed attire and join Campus Canines UBC for our first annual Puppy Wonderland winter gala on December 2nd! The event will feature our adorable puppies in training, music, food, drinks, and speakers, as well as a silent auction and raffle from which 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS). So, come one and come all to help spread some holiday cheer and raise money for a great cause!
