Website Mission
Mission UBC's International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) team is a synthetic biology research team, run entirely by students and supervised by postgrads and professors. We consist of passionate and innovative students that compete in a world-renowned competition, where teams from 400 universities worldwide spend a year working on a groundbreaking synthetic biology project, which they then showcase in Boston. iGEM projects are not only biology-based, but are multi-faceted through science, coding, business, design, engineering, and much more. If you are interested in putting the skills you are learning in university to practice, meeting motivated students from UBC and across the globe, and working at the cutting edge of biotechnology, then iGEM is definitely for you.
