Self Care as Community Care Peer Mentorship Program

Ignite the Warmth, in collaboration with UBC's Allard School of Law, is offering a six-week Self-Care as Community Care Mentorship Program from January 17 to February 28, 2024. This program fosters connections and community among participants, exploring concepts like power, privilege, and justice. With the guidance of community experts, participants engage in projects supporting community uplift. They are looking for participants and volunteer peer mentors with a passion for equity, social justice, and transformative change.

The National Black Volunteer Collective

The National Black Volunteer Collective of Let's Talk Science hopes to inspire and empower Black youth across Canada to pursue careers in STEM. As part of Let's Talk Science, they recruit Black post-secondary students and professionals in STEM to develop and deliver national and regional programs. Join them in their efforts!

Mapping Black Girl Geographies and Belonging in Canada

Support a research project that explores the cultural and national identity development of Black girls in Toronto and Vancouver. They're seeking participants aged 14-18 who identify as Black females, gender non-conforming, or trans femmes and have lived in the Greater Vancouver Area for at least 2 years. Eligible participants will receive a $600 honorarium for their involvement in activities like surveys, round table discussions, and art-making!
