OUR MISSION

Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity creates physicians of integrity with a life-long commitment to our guiding principles of philanthropy, deity, and education through fellowship, service, mentoring, and formal training in leadership, science, and ethics.

OUR MOTTO,

FACTA NON VERBA, DEEDS NOT WORDS

Our Motto is Facta Non Verba, which translates to Deeds Not Words. We hope our members take this motto to heart and apply it to their every day decision making. Actions are ultimately the true embodiment of oneÔÇÖs character, and this couldnÔÇÖt be any more important than when peopleÔÇÖs lives are in your hands as a physician.

CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK

.

Phi Delta Epsilon is partnered with the ChildrenÔÇÖs Miracle Network, and our fundraising efforts go toward supporting the operation of the BC ChildrenÔÇÖs Hospital. We aim to raise at least $1000 a year through a variety of fundraising events like trivia nights, and bake sales

Our History

Phi Delta Epsilon was founded in October of 1904 by Aaron Brown and several of his friends at Cornell University. This was in response to challenges facing aspiring Jewish medical students at the time.

From Humble Beginnings,

Stack offers a clean and contemporary to suit a range of purposes from corporate, tech startup, marketing site to digital storefront.

At the start of the 1900s, medical schools often limited admission of Jewish students into medical programs and fraternities. So, Aaron Brown started Phi Delta Epsilon upon the values of philanthropy, deity, and equity for students of all religious beliefs. Word of the fraternity soon spread to other medical schools, and Phi Delta Epsilon was beginning to establish its global position.

In line with the commitment to equity, Phi Delta Epsilon has since opened its doors to students of all genders, races, and religions. We are formally known as a Co-Ed International Medical Fraternity for this reason. Given the diversity seen in the physicians of today, we fully encourage our members to pursue their aspirations while taking pride in their backgrounds.

Today, Phi Delta Epsilon is the largest medical and premedical fraternity in the world, with hundreds of chapters representing thousands of members. Our global presence and staggering diversity has allowed us to collectively raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for childrenÔÇÖs hospitals across the world, while helping our members become physicians of integrity.
