Annual Virtual Panel
Join us once again for our annual panel. This year we featured Anna Ngyugen and Parmiyan Hazhir - both of whom have extensive experience working with refugees in varying contexts. We were so honoured to have them share their personal journeys with us in a safe and inclusive virtual community.

Annual Panel Event
We featured a variety of amazing speakers at this event including Senator Mobina Jaffer and many more! We had refugees and professionals come and share their stories about resilience and overcoming hardship with compassion, hope, and patience.

Movie Night (Collaboration with Rotaract of Vancouver)
We collaborated with the Rotaract club of Vancouver to host a virtual movie night featuring the film 'Born in Syria'
Participants also had the chance to earn nearly $50 in raffle prizes!

Sounds for Syria
One of most anticipated events of the year, Sounds for Syria is a chance for the UBC community to come together and celebrate our talents with proceeds going to towards refugee sponsorship.
We featured performances by Eh?Capella, Icy Gaze, and Vienna Claire Jeffery,

AMS Club Days!
Our team members set up a booth at the AMS Club Days Event in the Life Building for prospective members ask questions, learn about our club, and join!

Hot Chocolate Sale
On a few days of October and November, we set up a fresh hot chocolate stand in the AMS Nest where students could come and have a warm, comforting cup of hot chocolate by donation.
We also encouraged students to bring their own mug and protect the environment by reducing paper/plastic cup waste.

AMS Refugee Relief at Imagine Day
We set up a table along UBC Main Mall to have new students find out more about our club. We also provided a sign up list for prospective members to join our mailing list for more updates.
